The foundation of data spaces is trust, which is established through a rigorous, transparent certification process. The most important component of a data space is the Data Space Connector. To make sure that each connector behaves as it should, it is certified against specific security standards and so is any data space participant. On this basis of trust the participants can start their actual sharing of data.For this International Data Spaces (IDS) Certification of data space components – and even of data space participants –, a certification scheme is applied that defines the rules, and standards of the certification process.
